OPELAIII Cx was used in anti-terrorism measures for the Osaka-Kansai Expo 2025.

Professor Tomohisa Shoko, Director of the Emergency and Critical Care Center and Director of the Acute Care Surgery Center at the Adachi Medical Center, an affiliate of Tokyo Women’s Medical University, carried out a mission to bring in an ambulance capable of on-site surgery, to respond to possible terrorist attacks on dignitaries attending the opening ceremony of the Osaka-Kansai Expo, held on April 12, 2025.

The concept of OPELAIII Cx, “Wearable Surgical Lighting System” was proven on-site, and its unique characteristics as a standalone surgical light were highlighted inside the NBC ambulance and mobile SCOT vehicle.
